Maybe not so basic. Not to many programs do it. But Photoshop is now one of those few, and it has paint tools that far exceed what most motion graphics programs can do. Including its sibling AE.

To be honest, the best option is for you to shoot 50P. Is there some reason why you choose to not do this? In most major markets you can rent PAL versions of most popular cameras.

The good news is it’s possible.
The bad news is that it needs to be rotoscoped- a matte needs to be cut by hand, frame by frame. That requires someone with a lot of skill & experience to do, and it will not be cheap.
It might be possible to use one of the Imagineer products to automate part of the process. That will speed it up, but it will not reduce the cost.

What happens if you take the audio from your DSR-11 and connect it to some other audio monitor?
The teeny little speaker in a Sony PVM monitor is more of a joke than a useful audio monitor.

So, what you really want to do is replace all of the audio, right? In that case, forget the picture. Just use FCP’s “Replace Edit” on the audio.
You find the audio that you want to swap in, line up the playhead in the canvas & viewer on matching waveforms, make sure that the audio is on the target track, press the F11 key. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Be patient, be meticulous, bill by the hour and good hunting!

IOW, Time Warner is suing itself. We talk about America being a litigious society, but this is extreme.
