That’s not how you do it. The manual spells this out very clearly. Look up “multiclip sequence” in the online manual.

I’m guessing that you “crash” captured these tapes using Capture Now. I’m also guessing that you may have captured across timecode breaks, meaning your timecode is now useless past the 1st break and will have to be matched by eye.

I can sum up my way of doing this in 2 words: “copy” and “paste”.
Open up reel 1, press command-a to select all, command-c to copy, go to my assembly, press command-v to paste. Repeat for each reel.

Go to versiontracker.com and search for an app called Carbon Copy Cloner. I use it for all my backups and for other data copying tasks. It’s simple to use, works well, and it’s shareware.

Try running Disk Warrior on the drive that originally had the corrupt project on it. If DW can’t help you, then you’ll need to start over.
And while you’re at it, start backing up your project files & other important data on a regular basis.

FCP’s Flicker filter is for interlace flicker, not fluorescent light flicker.
You might want to check out Foundry’s Furnace plugins for FCP. They have a flickering light filter which is reputed to be fairly good. Go to toolfarm.com and look it up. It’s on sale right now, so you’re in luck!
