Sorry, but those are not the same files! You’ve encoded 2 different files on 2 different platforms. Granted, you used the same file for input in both cases, but your output is now 2 totally different files. I would be surprised if they did not look somewhat different.

You can use Compressor to make a TIFF sequence, but it appears to be limited to 8 bits/channel.
You can use AE, but you must set up a 16 bit or higher project if you want all of your color information to pass through. In AE, you must make sure that you interpret the footage to separate fields to deinterlace.
You can use Photoshop as well, any version after CS2 can import a QT movie and export that as a movie or image sequence. Deinterlacing is applied as a filter to the QT movie in Photoshop.
Do not worry about the frame rate of the picture, you are going to export or render frame-for-frame from video to the image sequence. The shop making the DCP will interpret that as 24fps. Voila, it’s pulled down from 25 to 24! You will, however, need to discuss the audio with them. You may have to slow down the audio for them if they can’t do it for you.

There’s a current thread over on the Red forum where they say that Red Rocket conflicts with Kona cards. YOu may want to look into the RR as a possible cause.

The “best” way is to take it to a dub house with a Teranex or Alchemist and have it done for you. Otherwise test all of your software options and see what you hate the least. I’ve had some success with Compressor, Shake and AE, Motion might work as well.

That’s your answer. You need to conform both clips to the same codec and frame rate. BTW, this is in your FCP manual.

You need to speak to the online editor who’s going to do the final conform and discuss your options with them. You also need to know what your final deliverables are, that may effect the options that you want to take.

It sounds like a watermark for a demo version of a plugin. Are there any plugins applied to that clip?

For editing, your audio should be PCM.
