Another Multi-clip snafu
Hello all,
Trying to multi-clip two camera angles from two different cameras: HMC-150 and a Canon (forget model number). I ran camera one, the Panny 150, and the photographer ran the DSLR. We both set to 1080/30p. I set the timecode to 0 at the slate/clapper for both, but when I tried to set as mult-clip, FCP said they were different frame rates.
I checked, and sure enough, the Canon was 30fps and my panny was 29.97. So I put the Canon through cine tools and converted it to 29.97. Tried again, this time the error message is “different codecs.” The Panny codec is Pro-res, so I tried exporting the Canon clip from the timeline at what I thought was the same codec–1080 pro-res, then reimporting that.
Same error message–different codecs, would not multi-clip.
Anyone have any tips on getting these two to match up for a multi-clip?
Thanks in advance.
