Simple. Shoot the talent naked (which allows you to re-sell the spot as porn!), and paint the clothes on them in post.
Seriously, there are 2 ways that I can think of to do this:
1) With a locked down the camera, the worlds best continuity person, & incredibly good talent that can literally move exactly the same way with the same timing from take to take. And perhaps a very short dissolve.
2) CG. The talent is actually a 3-D character, & the animator swaps out the clothes.

I don’t understand. You’re NTSC or PAL video monitor is connected to the deck, but doesn’t show the video while capturing? Then it’s not hooked up to the deck, or you have something set wrong on the deck…
Or you don’t have an NTSC or PAL video monitor? You should.

OK, I’m curious. Are these clips that were captured with “Capture Now” as opposed to clips that were logged & batch captured? They wouldn’t be named “Untitled”, would they?

Yes, well without trying to sound flippant, that’s why it’s called “work”. And that’s why you should charge rates that reflect the fair market value of your level of experience & expertise for the service. Or deliver a service that fairly reflects what you are being paid.

It’s called a “colorist”. 😉
Seriously, there is no plug in that can substitute for the eye of a skilled, talented colorist to interpret the material on the monitor and scopes to get it to look its best & be “legal”.
FWIW, large budget features, created with material that was properly exposed to begin with, typically take a couple of weeks to be graded in state of the art suites operated by the best colorists in the business.

This is a well documented bug that only seems to effect a small number of users. If you search the support section of apple.com for that text string in the error message you’ll find a white paper that explains how to fix the problem.

Which version of FCP? In FCP v4.5 or v5, you don’t even have to export the video out of motion, you can simply import the Motion project into FCP & lay it over your footage, then render in FCP. Same with Live Type projects.
