Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy no preview during capture

I’ve just upgraded to final cut studio, still have os x panther, upgraded to qt7. When i capture, my capture window is blank (it still shows the apple final cut logo). The video captures fine, but I obviously have no way to monitor it while capturing. I searched posts and the solution posted was to re-install using erase and upgrade or something? There was no response from the original guy who posted it, so i’m not sure if it worked or not. My only option was upgrade. Any ideas?

You should be monitoring your video & audio out of your deck to a video monitor while capturing.

I realize that…and I am, however that doesn’t address the question I asked.

I don’t understand. You’re NTSC or PAL video monitor is connected to the deck, but doesn’t show the video while capturing? Then it’s not hooked up to the deck, or you have something set wrong on the deck…

Or you don’t have an NTSC or PAL video monitor? You should.
