If your sequence settings don’t match your footage, you need to render. FCP has easy setups to match all DVCPro HD options. Find the right one to match your footage.

Simply put all of the objects that you want to apply the motion to in 1 layer, & apply the move to the layer.

If you want to export DVCPro HD as a square pixel image sequence, you need to export it from a square pixel, uncompressed timeline. Simply drop your clip (or clips) into an 8-bit or 10-bit UC timeline & export from there.
Another trick, is to export your image sequence in it’s native, anamorphic state, & then run a macro in Photoshop to resize the image sequence. I think you can probably save the macro as a droplet.

If you’re really looking for a dedicated compositor & rotoscoping app, you’d be better off with Shake. Motion is geared much more towards motion graphics. It does have compositing features, but not as powerful as what Shake has.
Some other options for you: Combustion, Nuke and Fusion.

Anamorphic is not letterboxed. It’s native wide screen. If your video monitor has a 16X9 switch, it will display properly.

Your drives are too full. Firewire drives will tend to slow down around 75-80% full. Some will have problems after being only 50-60% full.

Probably the 2nd worst way to monitor your audio. (the worst is the built-in speaker) Consult your FCP manual to see how to properly connect both video & audio monitors to your system.

I recently had some issues exporting OMF at 24 bits. My sound mixer was unable to read any media in the 24 bit files, so we wound up giving him 16 bit files instead.
Check your OMF export settings & make sure that they’re set to 48k at 16 bit.
