There must be another way! Thast seem so backwards.
I appreciate your post, thanks , for know I will just keep using save as instead, tht works sometimes better.
This couls be an XP thing but I would think Adobe might be able to work this in. -
Got it thanks for the tip. Am I a bad person for always having my info window hidin? I never use it. Now I need to find a place for it!
Thanks again -
Yes, my resolution is correct if that is what you are referring to.
Not sure how to search the data base for this bug, or issue, what ever you want to call it, but the good news is we have a backup file from 2 days ago but now we have lost two days of work. That back up file will render fine. Kinda weird if you ask me! Let me know if you hear of this anywhere else. Or have any good ideas.

Thank you for your time and energy. I appreciate your thoughts.
I do see the break down and limited range.
Bit frusterating to have to abandon all this work and lighting setups. -

Thanks again,
As of now since there isnt many solutions expect for adding noise which will be just as much of a distraction I have to turn the option of expecting lights off on charachters that are banding and color correct them to match. Tons of extra work. Again, the bit depth helps a little but isnt the solution and the feather also doesnt seem to make a difference. I have tried many varibles before aborting my lights. Reading throught the post it seems that no one really knows what to do with this but add noise. Thanks, any one know if adobe would address this? -
Thanks for the suggestion.
The Banding is a global problem. Adding noise and channel blur does break up the banding but the character now has sploches instead of banding. So I am not sure what is less of the two evils. Anyone know of another way to deal with the lights banding. Is this a known problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello there
I have a Decklink Pro card that goes SDI out to my HDLink DualLink HD SDI converter. DVI output to my Samsung HDTV 1080i DVI input (16:9). Picture looks fine I just have to render all my quicktimes with a wierd scale. 100% Horzontal 50% verticle. SO it looks all stretched than when I preview on the HD monitor it looks correct. The full 1280 720 quicktime doesnt fill the the HDTV monitor frame either fills about 75% of the screen. I have tried many of the settings on the decklink.
So, recap, thats an decklink pro card, sdi out to an HDLink, DVI into the HDTV 1080i NTSC Samsung. I just want to play my 1280 720 Blackmagic 10 bit rgb quicktimes full frame on my HDTV samsung 1080i monitor for clients to watch. -
Since know one really uses the decklink nor does anyone read these threads, this is my solution. My seq is 1280 720 square pixel 10 bit 4:2:2. The quick time I render is the same but I squeeze it vertically. So out of AE I have a 1280 720 comp but my layer is scaled down 50 percent so it looks totally stretched. 100% by 50 % scale. When I import it in to my seq for playback on the 1080i HDTV it plays back and looks right, but only on the HDTV.
