OK, this must be a bug, but I pray it is user error.
When rendering out the master comp one of the hero layers becomes scaled down and offset. Yet when we do a ram preview the layer in the comp is correct, the position and scale are correct. So, we set our render range for about 30 frames in the problematic area and preview, perfect, just what we want. Now, make movie, of the exact render range, same comp, the main layer now is offset and scaled down. We have tried rendering seqs and quicktimes. Restarting the machine, saving out the project and reducing the size. Yes, it might be user error, but myself and an AE instructor have been stumped? What you see in your comp and what you preview shows you, should be what the final render should be. I have been working with AE for years and I never have seen this.
Keep in mind this is a massive comp with over 100 3D layers, and tons of parented objects. It just smells like a bug to me.
    Any thoughts!!!

The only time that I ever saw this was with a precomp that had the wrong dimensions….probably not your problem, but figured I would post it 🙂
The error didn’t show up in ram previews, but I did see it once I had brought the QT back into my editing app.

    Good luck

Yes, my resolution is correct if that is what you are referring to.

Not sure how to search the data base for this bug, or issue, what ever you want to call it, but the good news is we have a backup file from 2 days ago but now we have lost two days of work. That back up file will render fine. Kinda weird if you ask me! Let me know if you hear of this anywhere else. Or have any good ideas.
