What if you export to 1050×576 square pixel?

Set Use Max Render quality ON (even if you have a CUDA card)
Set Use Preview Files OFF (if set to On it gives the codec that is used for preview which is lesser quality)
Set Frame Blending OFF (is used when your export to a different framerate).
See how that works.
If its for YouTube use a YT preset or HDTV preset.

It wont snap to a marker but it will reveal nested squence and put the playhead in the same position: Shift+T

If you want to see the 2.35 while editing drop a letterbox mask over the 1920×1080 footage.
You can make one yourself in the titler or adjust the title template (Mattes) that comes with the program

Put your sequence in a Premiere sequence and see how rendering goes.
If its ok you need to adress Matrox.

Dont use match sequence settings in the export, you end up with the wrong codec.
Use a preset or set everything manually.
