April 2, 2013 at 2:19 am in reply to: DaVinci 9 and R3D clip not keeping my raw settingsHi Dennis,
This issue has been addressed in the new update (9.1.3). Camera Raw changes made in the media page now get reflected in the Color Page.
Thanks,

Hi Chris,
The naming convention was changed in V9 Currently it is not possible to switch this back to the V8 convention.
If you saved your project after exporting an XML in V8, you only need to re-render your updated shots and export an updated XML out of the Conform page.
Otherwise, you might have to re-render your entire timeline and export a new XML and send that back to FCP.
Thanks,

Hi David,
Open Resolve, click on the clip and when it hangs, run CaptureLogs.app (/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CaptureLogs.app). Send us the zipped log file saved on your Desktop to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com.
Thanks,

Hi Tal,
Resolve maintains the conform frame rate for all renders when the mixed frame rate flag is not checked.
You could try setting that flag (Handle Mixed Frame Rate material in Project settings) before importing your AAF. This will maintain the DF/NDF of the source clip (as well as source frame rate).
Thanks,

Could you go ahead and send us your project and logs? And let us know which clip causes the crash.
Thanks,

October 22, 2012 at 3:23 am in reply to: different edit after the first colorcorrection in davinci!?Hi Clemens,
What version of Resolve are you running? If you have not done so already, try updating to 9.0.2 available on our website and see if you still run into the issue.
If you are already on the latest build and are seeing this issue, could you send us an export of the project as well as capture logs (/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/CaptureLogs.app – this will save a zipped log file on your desktop).
You can send these to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com.
Thanks,

October 18, 2012 at 3:49 am in reply to: Audio Auto Sync – Is it possible to slip audio after auto syncing?Hi Craig,
You can slip audio forward and back a frame by using the Option/Alt + , and Option/Alt + . shortcuts (these can be found in the Edit menu).
Alternatively, you can Right click on the audio/speaker icon on the bottom left of the conform page thumbnail and edit the Audio Sync timecode.

Hi Dave,
As far as sizing is concerned, are you enabling “Use Sizing Information” during the XML import? If this is checked, you will see these sizing changes in the color page, and they will also be baked into the renders. Therefore Resolve will not add the sizing information in the exported XML.
However, if you do not check this option, you will not see the sizing effects in Resolve. However the exported XML will still contain the original sizing effects.
Thanks,

October 4, 2012 at 4:50 am in reply to: Resizing info from FCP7 XML doesn’t roundtripDuring the XML import, there is an option to “Use Sizing Information”. If this option is enabled, you will see the sizing information in Resolve. Rendering these clips in Resolve will include the sizing. The checkbox to disable input sizing applies to any sizing performed within Resolve. The exported XML will not contain the sizing since it will be included as part of the render.
Alternatively, if you do not check the “Use Sizing Information” during the import, Resolve will not have any sizing from FCP in the Color page or the rendered files. However, the exported XML will still have the original sizing information from FCP.

Timofey,
We are not seeing the crash here on our systems. Could you send us crash logs? You can send them to davincihelp (at) blackmagicdesign (dot) com.
Thanks,
Anish
