  • Audio Auto Sync – Is it possible to slip audio after auto syncing?

    The auto sync works great!
However, the timecode from audio isn’t always bang-on with the camera. Usually I see it drift 1-3 frames throughout the day.

Is it possible to auto sync and then slip the audio to match the sticks?

    Hi Craig,

You can slip audio forward and back a frame by using the Option/Alt + , and Option/Alt + . shortcuts (these can be found in the Edit menu).

Alternatively, you can Right click on the audio/speaker icon on the bottom left of the conform page thumbnail and edit the Audio Sync timecode.

    Thanks,
    Anish

    Hi there,

just to hop on the end of this thread with a related issue

I’m making dailies with LUTs and and a burn in & syncing audio within Davinci Resolve Lite 9.0.3

In the case that audio is out of sync (camera/magic slate issue) i have tried slipping the audio manually first in the timeline & all seems fine.

But then when i add those timelines to the render queue & export them – the audio in the resulting clips is off as if i had not tweaked the sync manually to fix them.

Quite frustrating. If anyone knows some schoolboy error i may be making i’d love to hear some ideas.

    Best
