Thanks for the confirmation Bob. I just wondered if two 5 drive box set would be loud when editing.

[Ramona Howard] “the renders can be dumped onto the RAID protected array”
Ramona,
What are you using for your controller card to get the raid protection?
Or are you doing it via software raid?

Bob….
Do you happen to know how loud the sound level on the 5 bay Fusion Box?
Do you happen to know what the max length of the Port Multiplier cables can be?

Ed”Ah, no problem. I was an early adopter and bought the 15″ for travel reasons. The new Intel chips sure fly. Working with Motion on my laptop is actually easier then my old dual 2ghz G5 with a 256 MB graphics card.

June 21, 2006 at 8:17 pm in reply to: Has anyone successfully edited HDV on MacBook Pro?The 15″ MBP models did not come with FW800, only FW400. The new 17″ MBP have both FW 400 & FW800.

Couple things to do first.
1) run your software update and get everthing up to date.
2) read this page before getting started.
https://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
3) download the firmware update that is a download from Apple and does not show up in the software update
https://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macbookproearly2006firmwareupdate101.html
4) repair permissions after running the firmware update
5) download the latest version of bootcamp. (there is a new one)
https://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
6) print out the bootcamp PDF and follow each step during the install. it does require some input from you so don’t think it is a click and come back later install.
https://images.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/pdf/Boot_Camp_Beta_Setup_Guide.pdfIf you run into other problems, post a question on the apple site specific to bootcamp issues:

[gary adcock] “I would recommend the Teranex mini if your on a budget.”
Any idea on price of the mini? The web site just has resellers and no MSRP listed.

Alan,
great new design! Very clean.
Just popping around and noticed a little bug…at least to me.
Example:
Main home page, Click on More info button for the pro emitters libraries on the right. takes me to the correct page.
When I get to the bottom of the page and click on
“Next: what makes the Pro Emitters different from the included emitters”The page changes, but to the bottom of the next page, not the top.
I know you have your hands full with the transition, but just thought you might like to know this happened while browsing the new site.
FYI, this was using IE on a PC. Will try and check it again on my Mac tomorrow and let you know.

Do you mean 1.2TerraBytes? And is that DVCPRO HD? Just wondering
