the matte choker has some feathering abilities.
not the simple choker though. -
ahhhh….
So you have recorded your screen and now you want to distribute via dvd-video for NTSC…?Well here’s your problem, the fine thin lines of your computer will dance on an ntsc monitor because ntsc is meant to be interlaced, so your only solution is to use the flicker removal.
the res of a pc monitor is way higher than that of a tv, this can be a tricky conversion. -

this sounds more like after effects 3D stuff.Make a bunch of 3d layers and place them in a row then have a camera fly down the row, at some point you can have one come forward or something. You description is a little vague but i’m afraid there is no magic plug-in for this one.

ya you need screen recording software… many with free demos.
camtasia studio
macromedia Captivate
search for screen capture in google and you should find plenty.
But… some cameras have a clear scan feature for shooting monitors, but a slower than you monitor refresh should work okay if this is your only way.

October 4, 2005 at 12:09 am in reply to: Sharing compositions without importing entire projectsThe way you are suggesting is not possible.
Some Suggestions…
1. Open the project from which you want to sample from and delete everything you don’t want (make a copy first if you can) then resave as a project then import this into your other project
2. After importing the project delete extra elements. You can right click on items and go down to reveal in composition and if nothing appears or the comp you want doesn’t appear you can delete it becuase it isn’t part of what you need.
3. in the future perhaps make a project for each element then you can import this as neede.Sorry it’s not a perfect solution but i’ve felt your pain,

On a PC it’s Ctrl Alt Shift during the launch of the program. Try perhaps an alternate of this.
somebody knows. try searching for it in the help maybe. -
Here I made this, Its certainly not as good as psunami but it may work.
play around with the evolution options of the fractal noise.http://www.VideoCopilot.net/ocean.aep

October 1, 2005 at 5:15 pm in reply to: creatinga specific transition between compositionsYour going to want to look into creating track mattes.
not sure if you trying to create a transition or an effect.but obviously the drips arn’t going to physically fill up a container, so you want to animate these drip line until they hit the bottom of your container then start raising the “syrup” level with your video or whatever is suppose to fill up this container. the lines need not animate continuously so long as the water line rises. you could also add those fat drip to the lines for an added effect.
technincall tho,
you need to create the animation with masks or photoshop files with transparency, and don’t worry to much about the texuures of the contents but refining your animation then you can replace the “syrup” with your video. Here check this out it might help.

weird mine works the opposite. I couldn’t find an option to inverse this function perhaps you could reset your preferences.
apple+option+CTRL+SHIFT I think (im on a pc) -
You couold also create a sample of your “randomness” for like 2 seconds and then apply a loop expression.
by putting this into the parameter after creating your keyframes
loopOut=(“Cycle”)you can also save this to a effects preset and use it over o’er
