Try right clicking the footage in the timeline to bring up item properties. when the window comes up check the Gamma settings. Unless otherwise set-up in the FCP prefferences it will bring in GFX as with their native gama. Try resetting it to 1.8 or 2.2. This worked on animation/ alpha footage I created in Motion. Hopes this helps.

If you are using FCP Studio 2 (it may be on 1) try the overdrive filter, Use keyframes to bring in the effect on the outgoing and taking it out on the incoming shots. Play with the color for taste.

When recently using an 8 processor Intel machine the highest reading I got was 263% while motion was rendering with nothing else active. Anyone else have numbers to throw around?

I am not sure about the correct settings but a work around would be to import the footage into FCP after render and on the item properties of the clip check the anamorphic box.

    I found these at
    https://moverssupplies.com/BW-Cotton-Blanket-By-Dozen-12-pieces-Producers-Choice/
Black on one side and white on the other (for lighting purposes) and they can put gromets
where ever you like for extra.

I have been using them for 8 months, Very happy with them. Started with 4 now I have 6.
If you forget to charge them you can plug them in in the car on the way to work.

I would try to deinterlace the texture footage (inside the box) it will make everything easier.

Thanks, we found a work around by compressing both separately and combining them in QT.
But – what are the rules on rolling credits. The relationship between speed and frame-rate.
does any one know of any articles anywhere?

    Thanks again,

  • As far as I know Betacams from the 400 series up to the 600 have the power connector. (they may all have it but these I have worked with) On the other hand, being aquainted with Murphy’s law, having an Anton bauer cable would not be a bad Idea, (I lean towards being a paranoid Boy Scout)
