Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy anyone knows this transition?

    Looks like it was shot that way, deliberately designed with a moving lighting instrument.

    Probably enhanced with a dissolve to color between or a moving rectangle of orange layer mixed in but there are many frames missing from the transcode. Stepping thru it leaves out some crucial detail. It’s hard to tell if the dust n the surface is being sidelit r just getting an electronic highlight.

    If you are using FCP Studio 2 (it may be on 1) try the overdrive filter, Use keyframes to bring in the effect on the outgoing and taking it out on the incoming shots. Play with the color for taste.

    To me this looks like that old end of the film roll trick, there’s a name for it, and it escapes me but someone has done this transition for After Effects and it’s really cool. I’m trying to find it…
