  • thanks to all for your inputs and ideas.

[Tom Wolsky] “what you describe can occur if the media had already been loaded in the transfer window at an earlier time or some of it has already been ingested”

footage is completely new and never ingested before.

[gary adcock] “they updated the software for most of the product line in the last 10 days, so you still may not have the most current version.”

Last update for P2 Log Pro (2.3.4) they issued one month ago and i did it that time because i am subscriber for all updates from them.

bad part of it that my problem related to the footage i already exported with that software and no original MXF files anymore. so, update is no of help in my case.

Gary thank you for the response.

I updated my P2LogPro long ago immediately after it was available. Somehow FRC do not recognize my DVCPRO HD 720p clips as so. 🙁

It is already second problem i meet because of P2 Log Pro: first was that all that clips did not work with QT 7.3 and i had to move back to Tiger and QT7.2 and second that i can use FRC.

    shame on imagineproducts

Gary, thank you very much for your response.

Somehow it start to work as it did before. I mean now I can remove duplicate frames from 50p/25fps footage during import. Sometimes it is good idea to restart Mac or at least FCP.

    1. footage was shot to FireStore as P2 with settings on camera: 720p/50fps.

    2. How to remove frames on import? if you mean option to remove Advanced Pulldown and duplicate frames in log and transfer window then it does not work in my case. Somehow it does not work even with the footage shot 720p/25fps. I was asking about it in this thread: https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/8/960950

i just want to correct my mistake shooting interview in 50 fps.

    3. FRC can not help me because i do not need to slowdown the footage.

    thank you Gary,

Thank you, Peter! Is it possible to distribute the process among PC machines too? On our network we have one quad core PC with fastest RAM and I was wondering if i can engage that monster too.

March 19, 2007 at 9:59 pm in reply to: anamorphic lens

Thank you all for the inputs and sorry to be not so clear about type of the lens i am looking for.

Actualy I am after lens which could turn my 16×9 frame to 2.35:1 proportion. In FCP we have option of anamorphic aspect ratio for DVCPRO HD footage.

Thank you for bringing my attention to the point that shooting with anamorphic lens noise will be stretched even more then it is already stretched from 4:3 aspect. I did not pay attention to it before and now it also hit me… 🙁
