Somehow footage converted to QT with P2Log (menu function “Export to FCP XML” and ref files) is not working for FRC in my FCP 6.0.1… ii get message “The selected media file cannot be processed by this tool. Only DVCPRO HD 720p 59.94 and 50 fps media files are supported.” When i check properties of the clip in FCP browser then it says that the clip compressor IS DVCPRO HD 720p50 and if i go through clip in the viewer with arrow buttons frame by frame i see it is 50 unique frames per second without duplicates.

Same clip transferred with “Log and Transfer” utility of FCP is fine to convert with FRC. What is the problem and if there any way to make P2 Log clips work with FRC?

Task: have footage from HVX200 P2 shot in 720p50 / 50 fps — need to make slomo.

    thank you,
    Andrei

there are Know issues with P2Log and FCS2 and the current OS

Go to Imagines web site and down load the updates.

but I have not ever had the FRC work with anything that was captured with P2L

P2pro no issues but the Logging app is not a complete tool set.

Gary thank you for the response.

I updated my P2LogPro long ago immediately after it was available. Somehow FRC do not recognize my DVCPRO HD 720p clips as so. 🙁

It is already second problem i meet because of P2 Log Pro: first was that all that clips did not work with QT 7.3 and i had to move back to Tiger and QT7.2 and second that i can use FRC.

    shame on imagineproducts

[Andrei B.] ” updated my P2LogPro long ago immediately after it was available.”

they updated the software for most of the product line in the last 10 days, so you still may not have the most current version.

    “shame on imagineproducts “

I blame apple and the Trifecta of Doom, Every single developer for FCP/ QT products had to deal with FCP / Quicktime and a Major upgrade to the OS at one time.

it’s a awful lot to handle.

Last update for P2 Log Pro (2.3.4) they issued one month ago and i did it that time because i am subscriber for all updates from them.

bad part of it that my problem related to the footage i already exported with that software and no original MXF files anymore. so, update is no of help in my case.

and that is why you should always archive the original MXF files.
