Probably not with “plain vanilla” Motion tools. You’ll need some fxPlug programming knowledge.

Leonora wants to do subtitling. For subs screen is divided into 9 regions, each 3 for Top, Center, Bottom. Those might overlap depending on allowed lines and font size.
Horizontally each of those 3 regions will overlap calculated by font size and allowed count of letters letters.
All of the 9 regions do have an horizontal alignment and “text build” (top, bottom, center) setting.

If those region would be numbered 1-9 (from left to right and up down) Leonora asks for a region 8, left-aligned and “displayed-after” setting.

In Motion you can only get parts of those needed values automatically.

Manual fine tune is not really an option with subtitling – we are talking about hundred, thousand and more “clips”.

With XTI you can import into FCPX. XTI is the only app which supports Digital Heaven Subtitle X if you like that one.
XTI also comes along with a title fx which builds subtitles from bottom to top.

As said above: not direct – you need TitleExchange to convert FCP to STL (this conversion is a free option of the Pro version). The resulting STL can be used with XTI.

This formatting had been used quite often and still is in use. But with the usage of proportional fonts it’s more ore less not supported anymore.

Another option:
TitleExchange + X-Title.
With TitleExchange you can convert virtually every subtitle type (except Boris) into STL text for free.
X-Title will allow to import/export those STL (and other formats) into FCPX.

If it is only about markers you can use my X-Title Importer.
It has the free option to extract markers from a project XML to a text file.

In Browser select the caption stream and then go to File -> Export -> Captions.
As format I would use .srt.
If you need broadcast CC follow Bouke’s advice.
For Web you can use the SRT.

Another option would be to use my premiereTitles.
It allows to convert SRT to Premiere Essential Graphic Titles and vice versa.
You can pre-define size, color, outline and shadow settings.

It’s not possible straight away within the FCPx eco-system.

Use my XTE to get a .srt from the captions/titles.
Use 3Play or similar free service to convert to .scc and use Compressor to add it to the movie.
Or use an app like Francois suggested to apply the .srt to the movie.
