March 22, 2018 at 2:15 pm in reply to: replacing multiple titles on the timeline at onceHi Dave,
As I am the creator of the tool you used, here some tips.
If you want to swap one effect to another:
1st) create a sequence with the new title (all settings done here) and export as XML
2nd) in XTI deselect the “Use Template”
3rd) in XTI select “Template” for all conversion options except style – set it to “Source”
4th) choose “Open..” and select the above XML, then select the file with the titles.Brett’s tip using Motion would affect all titles ever done with the template and only works if you don’t change the amount of text entries.

March 22, 2018 at 1:55 pm in reply to: Issues adding captions to timeline with .srt filesAs mentioned above: serious SRT import into PPro only exists in the manual.
TTML works better – but also includes a lot of pain. The frame rate displayed is correct; SRT has a 1000 fps rate.
You can try my Essential Graphics Title Importer:

Brett,
I made a little utility which lists all AV files from any XML – project, event, lib. Drag any of those to the app window’s table view or import an XML
You can select a drive and it will list the missing ones. It can do more, but there’s no documentation.

It’s free.– Andreas

My bad – I wanted to write “Apple MXF codec” since I assumed you wanted to use embedded scc for broadcast.

March 10, 2018 at 5:02 pm in reply to: All title generators showing same text in viewer, but not on actual generator.[Tangier Clarke]… I am going through the XML and cleaning it so it points to only one set – the computers’s library level so that the generator isn’t bound to any user.
I really recommend all users to use the “Library” path install version for every new (custom) plugin.
This “User” thing has lost so many users in painful situations – but probably it’s too late.Spherico

I does what you want – except the centered-left align.

But kind of overkill and “useless” for subtitles.
If you need something like “bottom upwards” for subtitling just click the “bottom align” for vertical alignment of the text box settings.Again no offence. This effect is really cool, add a shift down, left and right.

[Oliver Peters]… but the format options are limited.
What do you mean, what format options?
Anyway – Apple Codecs don’t support embedded captions.
In theory Adobe/PPro does.Spherico
