Encoding and retaining embedded captions
Is there any way to take an HD ProRes master file with closed captions and encode a resized MP4, while retaining those captions as closed captions in the resulting file? In FCPX or Compressor? Other?

I did stop fighting to preserve CC while transcoding to mp4 i extract an srt file,then

Andreas Kiel (Film tools) also has many utilities for subtitling

It’s not possible straight away within the FCPx eco-system.
Use my XTE to get a .srt from the captions/titles.
Use 3Play or similar free service to convert to .scc and use Compressor to add it to the movie.
Or use an app like Francois suggested to apply the .srt to the movie.Spherico

How? I don’t see an option in Compressor to do that.
