  • Eazy way to extract text from the index file in FCPX?

I have been trying to use markers with text description in the timeline to generate a rough description of a sporting event. I can display them in the index file, but it would be convenient to extract the index file as a text file and use it in writing the voice over. I tried a screen shot and OCR, but that was both clunky and inaccurate.

I’ve been looking into this app for just this type of thing. I get the impression that it will do what you need:

If it is only about markers you can use my X-Title Importer.
It has the free option to extract markers from a project XML to a text file.

Andreas, thanks. I will give it a shot after I finish my current project.
