For DVD, you can only render to MPEG-2 (video) and best to use AC3 (sudio) make sure both have the exact same file name.
For VHS tape if you have a digital/analog converter like the Canopus (Grass Valley) ADVC 110 (or100) you can print to to a VHS tape directly from the timeline without ‘rendering’.
For web you can go WMV or Flash. Vegas won’t encode to Flash.
There’s really no way AFAIK to do it all with only 1 render. Unless you have something like Squeeze that will batch encode 3 seperate files at once.

Did you happen to accidently zoom in too far on your timeline? You can zoom all the way in so each frame beomes a single picture. I do his for exact cuts and some editing once in a while but then zoom back out. I personally like to work with the timeline at 10 seconds, but you can st it to what you want.

I just did some research on that recall. I first heard about it over at Camcorderinfo.com at the Sony forum. That was a year ago and there’s nothing about it on Sony’s site anymore. Something about a class action suit about the Sony VX2000/2100’s and something to do with the lcd screen going blank or showing wierd lines. My VX2000 was Starting to produce flickering in the video as if there was a lot of viabration and no stabilizer.It was a big thing and I had called Sony and discussed my problem even though my exact problem did’t match the photos on the ligatition page. But the support fellow said I qualified for the recall. They sent me a shipping label and told me to send the camera in.
Got it back in 2 weeks all re-built. Can’t really tell you any more except I probably wouldn’t have heard of the recall had it not been for that forum. I was just in the right place at the right time.
From what I kow a few others I know also missed out on it. That’s sony’s fault because I was registered as an owner of that camera and I would have thought they would have notified me as well as anyone else who had bought the 2000 or 2100. Maybe it was one of those things that if you reported the problem, they’d fix it but if you didn’t, HA! They weren’t about to offer it to anyone.
Imean I got everythig replaced. CCD’s Heads and drum an transport. Like a new camera inside. At least there’s no more flickering 😉

Meanwhile I just bought 5 boxes of the new Sony HDM63VG tapes. A few of my friends said they never use the 83 minute tapes, too thin. So a little head cleaning then it’s Sony from now on. I got a shoot coming up where I’ll be using most of those tapes in April so I’ll know if I get any problems or not.

Hi
You don’t want to upload a flash file to YouTube. YouTube now re-converts everything automatically to flash so you’re loosing quality by having it encoded twice.Best way now is to create a WMV file.

Uh, I don’t think the Canopus (Grass Valley) ADVC 110 has a TBC built in. I have the 100 and it doesn’t. You’ll need the AVDC-300 or above to get a built in TBC.
Without a TBC your quality will depend on the quality of the VHS tape. I captured some 10 year old VHS tapes and the quality wasn’t all that great.

If I remember correctly without finding where I put it, Whites should be 235 and black at about 13 for TV’s.
I found it. Here’s copies of some answers to a thread I started back in 2003.

Personally I’d go with the Seagate drives. I have an external Seagate 750 USB/Firewire that works great. Prices are way down now too. If I remember right, I think I paid somewhere less that $300 for it.
I’ve had problems in the past with both Maxtor and WD’s although the WD My Boooks don’t seem too bad.
