Yes, I would personally suggest trying to remove it, (if you can). Norton is known to be a system hog and there’s been a few threads here discussing that. It could be hard to uninstall.

Read this thread and there’s links to site with instructions for uninstalling Norton. You may have to manually do some work yourself.

What else do you have running in the background? You don’t happen to have Norton (Symantec) do you? If a lot of programs are running in the background that may cause your problem.

Hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up the Task Manager. Check applications as well as processes. Then check the preformance tab.

I think I had that problem once years ago with W98SE. I just re-booted and everything was okay. But I’m thinking your got something else going on.

It should be still available. However have you tried defragging your system before trying to render?

I went from Vegas 5 to 7, Never had a problem and now I’m using 8. Back in 5 if I had problems rendering, usually a defrag would take care of the problem unless there’s a corrupted file somewhere.

Also IMHO from what I’ve been told even if you shoot HD and render to an SD DVD, you’ll get a better picture.

Point of note! You don’t have enough RAM @ 768mb. You ahould have at least 2GB Ram.

I don’t do HD and my editing computer’s got 2gb RAM. Also I’ve been told to do any HD work you’d need at least a dual core or core 2 dual computer.

Your main video is on 1 track. Anything you put on tracks above it will overlay or cover it.

Like Steve says above. Please be more specific as to what you want to do. Picture in Picture, Moving Text etc.
