I’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6 and sending to DVD Architect Studio 3.0. I’ve used it often and all was fine. Now, all of a sudden, the text I add to my video using Media Generators is coming out quite blurry on my DVD’s. It appears fine in Vegas, but in preview in Architect, very blurry. I’ve tried different fonts and different sizes. No difference. Any ideas??
    Thanks, Bruce

Did you change your render settings? You might try increasing the resolution of added text to 1440 x 960 as well.

I appreciate your help. Walk me through this. How/where do I check these settings?
    Thanks,

I have been burning DVDs with my Plextor 716a burner with no problem. I got a Sony camcorder so I bought DVD Architect 4.5 to burn. I get into the burn process and get this message:

    SFMMCX’-(17)
    ”-(1)
    -‘PLEXTOR DVDR PX-716A 1.10’-(1)
    Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 2240
    Status: ff000000
    Command: 2a 00 00 00 0f 60 00 00 20 00
    Sense: 02 04 08
    Info: 00 00 00 00
    Specific: 00 00 00
    Extra: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Any ideas on what this means? I have tried everything I know. NO problems with other software but when using Vegas Movies Studio and then attempting to use Architect…. no luck!

    Thanks

    Hi
When you open the text box to add your text, look on the upper left of the box. The settings are right there.

I have a similar problem – OK for the first simple DVD but now all I get is:
    SFMMCX’-(17)
    ”-(0)
    -‘SONY DVD RW DRU-840A SS00’-(0)
    Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 2240
    An illegal request was received.
A specified address is out of range.

Have asked Sony for help – here’s hoping

Did you get a response from Sony? I am getting the same error after having previously successfully burned a handful of DVDs.

Have had more success with burning after I found out that I was probably trying to place menu items at the beginning of the video I was making outside the SAFE AREAS. This is not emphasised in the program’s help or “show me how” routines. To see the areas that you must keep inside (in DVD Architect) go to “View – safe areas” and enable them. Frames will show where you should keep all menu items and actions so that there should be no problems in burning the DVD. This is what I found. Sony only replied with fairly standard responses but it did show that there are newer versions of the program to download if you are a registered user – which I did – and a few other hints.
My problems seem to have been solved by enabling the “safe areas” and I have made a DVD without problems.
