last step where you double clicked the shot in the nested seq….
I think you only need select it in the sequence….
does it have a Color correction effect applied to the clip?
if so any changes you make in the effects controls are already propagated all the way thru the final edit….
there is no “putting it back”….it’s there…
am I following you?

Can you import that project into a fresh project?

Hi….
do you have more than one install of PPro on your machine?
It could be that by launching from the project icon….it’s choosing the wrong version of PPro.
If so….launch the correct version of PPro first..then use it’s controls to open the project.

I keep on eye on stuff like this too.
Take a look at this:

Probably best of class automation thru After Effects.

Hi….
While Ppro’s mercury playback is the synergy of gpu, cpu, ram, and hard disk utilization….
they heart of it is most definitely the GPU
comparing the card you have:
1/2 gig of texture memory and 48 cuda coresto the one you are getting:
8gb texture memory with 1920 cuda cores….I’d say that for sure the GPU is a huge bottleneck in your system….particularly with the footage types you want to process.
if you current configuration recognizes the GPU at all…I’d try disabling it (file>project settings) and see if you do any better….
but yes….you will see a gain when you get the new card.

Hi…
where was the color correction applied? to the nest clips OR to the clips inside the nest? Since you are asking about exploding the nest…I’ll assume inside.
there is nothing special about a multicam nest. It really is just a sequence like any other. You can find it by it’s name in the project panel and open it….go to whatever clip has the CC you want and copy it, or save it as a preset or whatever you want so that you have it to apply else where. Usually double clicking on a nested sequence in the timeline will open it, but there may be some sort of pref that disables that….not sure…
the fact that multicams are simply nested sequences is one of the coolest things about the multi-cam implementation, to make changes within the multicam sequence that are then reflected everywhere it’s used….
hope that helps some….

how many channels are you mastering to in your sequence?
and how did you initially create the sequence? Maybe by dragging one of the Sony FS7 clips to the new sequence icon?

Hey Chris
check this out…
Workflow wise….
we start with a folder of source which we import into PPro
in PPro using thumbnail view we drop related items into bins
then from each bin set we choose a representative shot and load it into the source viewer.
apply the blank Lumetri effect and color to taste.
save the setup as a preset named accordingly
then select the remaining members of that BIN.
drag and drop the preset over one of the highlighted bin members and it’s applied to the group
** in thumbnail view you can see that the effect as been applied as a master clip effect. VERY COOL…
** also with any selected set of clips in the bin selected, you can right click and choose to disable the master clip effects so you can toggle quickly and see the changes made by the CC. VERY COOL!!!
repeat for remaining bins
save project
send clips from bins to Adobe Media Encoder for batch processing…
render…
check….
step back in and adjust sets or subsets as necessary
from there were can file name the graded material and keyword and metatag as necessary
and push out to the library….

Yeah….and in that case……in theory anyway…you should only have to place the XML in the watch folder….
the xml will reference the media location….
so the media stays in place wherever it was at the time the XML was generated….
