Let me see if I understand you…
So the 2d textures and sound need to follow each other….
you are using the mock up in output in AE to previz the final….
but your actual output from AE will be the 2d textures (for use in the actual projection)…
the issue you are having is that….you are not getting the feedback you need in AE to do the design you want to do?
(meaning it’s not possible to get the sound and visuals in line)…
Do I understand correctly?

Hey Eric….
if you need a filler object….as sometimes this is easier to reuse as an insert edit object…
create a transparent video clip or black color matte…
those should do the trick….

Hi All…
I searched and found a match within the Project XMP metadata
(where FVP_slate_30 is my criteria)
BUT…changing this did not appear to change the comp…and thus the video file rendered.
however….I have determined that using FCP XML from PPro will actually work just fine for this project as the assembly is just a few elements….
so I now have that working…
this will be a template processed by PHP and then dumped in a watch folder for AME to encode….
anyway….I have a workable solution….hope this helps someone else who runs into this….

I can circumvent the problem for sure.
This issue is that I’m building an automation system. So before changing the behaviors of everyone that’s a contributor of content….I wanted to see what might be causing the issue…or what might be done to resolve it….so that the remaining pipeline can remain the same.

If you nest the selected clips…the rate stretch tool can be used on the nested clip…
(select clips, right click on selected, nest)…

Do the move of the fill inside the nest…
then you can move them independently….
