Double-click on the event to make the timeline selection and look at the bottom right corner of Vegas window. You can see the length of time selection area.

Have you tried Video4YouTube extension? It was created for older versions of Vegas Pro, but I believe it can also be used in V12.

No, it doesn’t (at least for now)
Vegasaur could work in Movie Studio, but Sony Creative does not allow third-party developers (except VASST) to integrate their extensions in Movie Studio. So, it is a “political” restriction, not technical. -
