This is a bit out there, but I found it super useful back in the day.

A long time ago I used to use Windows Movie Maker to make videos (we were all young and stupid once). With the videos I currently make, I have them transition clips every ten seconds or so. WMM had a process that I could apply to my project, that would automatically chop up all of my clips into 10 second increments, then put them together in a random order. Does Sony Vegas have any kind of option like this? It would really help cut down on my editing time GREATLY if it did.

Sony Vegas Pro can do it via third-party scripting utilities, such as Vegasaur

You can also use VASST Mayhem to add some… well mayhem to your video (slicing, and scrambling, and zooming, and FX) or it’s little brother StutterFrame which does the same but will less control and capabilities. Also VASST Ultimate S Pro can help you with all sorts of edits.

You will definitely get a bit more creativity going,
with that effect, if you use VASST Mayhem.
    A gem of a plugin.
