Have you tried Video4YouTube extension? It was created for older versions of Vegas Pro, but I believe it can also be used in V12.

To me it doesn’t seem like a big deal to render and then upload. I just wish Sony would have made Youtube raw file names an option in the Youtube upload dialog box. From the little I know about programming it would have taken them very little work. Maybe next release?
