No it does not but you can purchase the an extension called Audit Assistant that will find events with duplicate media for you very easily.

It does require Movie Studio Platinum 12, Vegas Pro 12.0, or Vegas Pro 11.0 in order to work.

Does Vegasaur toolkit support Movie Studio? I don’t think it does. The VASST FasstApps support Movie Studio 12 as well as Vegas Pro 8.0 thru 12.0. Doyal uses Movie Studio which is why I recommended the Audit Assistant FasstApp.

No, it doesn’t (at least for now)
Vegasaur could work in Movie Studio, but Sony Creative does not allow third-party developers (except VASST) to integrate their extensions in Movie Studio. So, it is a “political” restriction, not technical.

You’re half-way there.
As I mentioned in a previous thread, look for a “Use count” column.
This will tell you if an event has been used more than once.
The problem is that it doesn’t tell you where this happens.
For that, switch over to the Edit Details tab (View – Edit Details).
Clicking on “Active Take Name” will change the sort so that you can find the file name you’re looking for.
Once you do this, it tells you exactly where on the timeline each event starts and ends.
It’s up to you to figure out which one is to be deleted.

Thanks, You are right. That is the reason I could not find it. I have a dilemma Do I go buy the pro version when in 6 months I will be so blind I cant edit anyway? Do I want to spend that money for something of limited use? But at the same time I cant take it with me. If it weren’t for the setting up etc I would seriously consider it. To heck with it. It’s just a home movie anyway with not good source material to begin with. Leave it to Sony to know what to leave out. Thanks
