September 12, 2012 at 12:27 pmidk another way to “replace clips” (w/o scripts)
but perhaps you want the following: drag a new clip with the right mouse button and drop it on a source event and choose Add as TakesVegasaur – automation plugins and tools for Sony Vegas Pro

No, the timeline contains “Events” that can hold multiple clips as Takes. The only place you deal with a single clip is in the Project Media.

September 13, 2012 at 6:42 pmYou could trick Vegas by closing the project, altering the file name of the original clip, then changing the file name of the new clip to what the old clip was originally called. Then when you reopen Vegas, it will automatically use that new file in place of the old one. However, this will affect all events on the timeline that use that piece of media.

‘drag a new clip with the right mouse button and drop it on a source event and choose Add as Takes’
simple 🙂
