yes there is a work around, some one sent me an Adobe link to a pdf.
but I guess that didn’t make it to this thread.here is the quick fix from the pdf, until they fix it.
Solution
In Adobe Premiere Pro, apply the Crop effect to each clip that has the blue color cast. Leave the properties of the Crop effect at their default values, so that the effect does nothing to the image.
If you have multiple clips with this problem, you can create a new transparent video clip (https://www.adobe.comhttps://help.adobe.com/en_US/premierepro/cs/using/WS363B6AD6-AC91-4f2a- 83F1-7FB1704A9143.html) . Put it in the topmost video track, and apply the Crop effect to the transparent video clip.Alan Stephens

yes indeed. 10.7.3. That’s probably why it just showed up recently.
Who gets to fix that, Apple or Adobe?Alan Stephens

So far I have only seen it with ProRes 1080P or 720P.
I seems to be intermittent, as I could export to queue from a previous project with out a problem, but when I put in the newer HDV.mov and
tried it again the old project files had the same problem, where as they didn’t previously. The crop tool seem to correct the blue problem.
It was exporting in full color so stopped the encode to try a different size output and Media Encoder crashed. I had to reboot the computer to get it to clear. I notice when exporting to ProRes when I reopent the Queue to make adjustments that there is no preview of the footage.
Is that normal? A Pro Res thing?Alan Stephens

I checked and I have already updated to 5.5.2
I have no 3rd party hardware.

It wasn’t to hard to make a Pro res preset using Jeff’s notes.
As far as editing a pro res you can make new sequence from the prores
clip once imported and it will convert the sequence to prores much like
FC7 does when yo add a clip to a new sequence.
It doesn’t look like to me you can change the capture settings
to anything else except HDV & DV.
FC 7 allows you to capture HDV directly to Pro Res.Alan Stephens

yes I can get an audio preview with picture if I do a RAM preview.
I don’t much like the way it works. It seems it work better than that in After Effects 5.Alan Stephens

yes, when I press the decimal it plays the audio and I see the levels on the meter. My preferences are set to built in output.

I looks like I have all those things checked.
I watch a You tube tut, and it appears I just need to click the ram preview button in the preview menu then press it again after its done rendering to hear play back.Alan Stephens
