upon further study, you can use the Built in setting and select a specific one that you may use frequently, such as the video sharing formats, all or just one.

Ok, your first solution fixed it. I did try the others first.
Under General/setting was set to Built-in, so I changed it to None and everything works as it should. Not sure how it got changed or why anyone would use all the presets at once. Custom would make sense.

It doesn’t appear that Edius or scenarist are currently supported.

Well, my client is a ballet dance studio and I record their recitals 3 times a year.
They really need , to give up dvds and let me deliver mp4 HD or Blurays. I presented to them last year, delivery of mp4 on a thumb drive but they did not think it looked worth the price.
I currently provide DVD’s with a simple custom menu with their logo image and a play button with chapter markers for each of the 40 plus scenes. If I could at least go to blu-ray would give them HD. but its difficult to find reliable burning software.
Aiseesoft DVD Creator is good for DVD but the menu buttons can’t be moved around.
I still use Adobe Encore by rebooting to yosemite on my wife’s Mac Book. It is not as stable as it used to be now that its upgraded to Catalina.

OK, this may be very helpful using the back slash key. I’ll have to get used to it. I’m cutting the white back ground from a stainless steel machine with lots of pipes and wires and such. The machine and the background are often similar in range. I’m using the wand to select what I can of the white background then I would use quick mask to clean up the selection before applying. Using the back slash key I’ll clean it up after cutting the selection. The only problem is it doesn’t let me see the detail behind the rubylith like I see in quick mask. Example the white tube disappears behind the ruby using the slash so I have to paint it back in then. recut what I don’t want.

besides photographing it that way, I suppose you can try to outline the new bottle and fill with the orange color on a new layer. Then change the layer to color, then make an adjustment layer with a mask and darken areas for realism.
not sure if it will work.Alan Stephens

October 29, 2018 at 6:06 pm in reply to: hlp: Eraser no longer works in Quick mask modeIn case you haven’t found it yet. obviously reset tools, but I had to look it up. They keep moving things around. Its hidden i plain site. click on the eraser then go to the tool options at the top of the screen and right click on the eraser icon in the tool bar upper left. you get the option to reset one or all.
I found this article https://www.rockymountaintraining.com/adobe-photoshop-resetting-defaults-on-the-options-bar-and-beyond/Alan Stephens
