No, because as a standalone application pI3 has control over everything. As a plug-in, AE is in control.

If you’re using the trial version, you shouldn’t need to unlock or activate unless the trial period has expired.
If you’ve purchased, your serial number would have been emailed to you.
You can email support at wondertouch dot com if you need more help. Don’t ask for a serial number if you haven’t purchased though.

I thought the question was “will 3.0.xxx be the last release of 3.x?”. There are no more planned updates of 3.x. Development on particleIllusion has NOT stopped.

It’s all about the codec that’s being used. If you’re saying you chose the same codec in both apps and one works and one doesn’t, then I’m not sure what’s going on.
The Connect HD message has nothing to do with particleIllusion.

Can you create an AVI in particleIllusion, then load it back into particleIllusion?
If so, then it’s probably the codec you’re choosing when you create the AVI. I suggest DivX, Lagarith, or HuffYUV.

It’s the last planned release, but there could be more bug fix updates. Don’t know.

The plans for 3.5 were before the GenArts acquisition. Although we’re still working out the particleIllusion “roadmap”, there won’t be a 3.5 release, as GenArts doesn’t do x.5 releases.

There are many existing emitters (“presets”, or “effects”) that do that sort of thing already. Open the particleView application (it installs with particleIllusion), hit “s” to open the search window, and type “flare”, or “magic”, or “burst” to get started.

Delete the particleIllusion.Ticket file from the following folder:
Users/Shared/Tickets
Do NOT delete the ticket file that’s in your particleIllusion application folder!
