    Alan,

Will v3.5 be created still? I was going over some notes and came across something from 2006 indicating that a new version 3.5 was being worked on that would do away with “libraries” as they are now. I was looking at how to arrange libraries and came across this article.

If v3.5 will still be created, is this a Free or Paid update?

    Thanks again,

The plans for 3.5 were before the GenArts acquisition. Although we’re still working out the particleIllusion “roadmap”, there won’t be a 3.5 release, as GenArts doesn’t do x.5 releases.

    Alan,

Thanks for the information. Does that mean revision C of pi3 will be the last version before going with v4?

    Thanks,

It’s the last planned release, but there could be more bug fix updates. Don’t know.

did I hear you right Alan.. a v4 is the last planned release? I hope Genarts did not buy into you, or buy you out to discontinue you….

I own well over 2000 dollars in genarts products already… but would be pretty upstet if they just wasted this great software tool…

    No!

I thought the question was “will 3.0.xxx be the last release of 3.x?”. There are no more planned updates of 3.x. Development on particleIllusion has NOT stopped.
