reduce the life so the particles die at the deflector? If you do that you may not even need a deflector.

Is the problem only with background images/movies?

If so, then the workaround is to use a lower-res version of your movie, then when all of the emitters are “done” use the “Scale Project” function to increase to your final res (and remove/replace the bg image).

There’s an After Effects function for that… called “Motion Sketch”. Use that to draw your path, then link the emitter position parameters to that. I’m sure if you Google “After Effects Motion Sketch” you’ll find tutorials.

Rename the files so they start with letters: “a0001.png”, “a0002.png”, etc.

Which emitters for example? Anything that uses the “get color from layer” feature won’t work in pIAE. Everything else should though.

Are you talking about saving (rendering) an image sequence, or using an image sequence for a particle image or layer background image? If you have it named with leading zeros like you do, it should work fine.

I don’t know what you mean by “recognizes the first 6”. Please be more specific.
