He’s in the “default” library, isn’t he? If not, you can download and install the pI3 demo, and the Mouse emitter is in the demo library.

There’s a cartoon mouse in both the SE and 3.0 libraries (drawn by Frank Gabriel at Powerhouse Animation) but I don’t know about a cat.

Elvis did a tutorial on just this (or just about it). Go back to the post listings, click the photo of Elvis at the top of the page, then click the “disintegrate a logo” tutorial.

Which part of it are you having trouble with, the swirling particles? If that’s the case, then I would apply a couple of forces, animate their directions, strengths (maybe), and possible size (the size of the rectangle) and you should be able to get something swirly like this.

Do a search in this forum for “looping”. Make sure you search the archives too, since this question gets asked a lot. The initial responses explained how to make a clip loop using a crossfade “trick” that should work in any video editing app. There’s also a tutorial on our website on how to do this trick using just particleIllusion, but that’s not what you’re looking for.

Sorry — looked at these and forgot to reply. It’s a very complex example, that I’m not sure you’ll be able to pull off without a fully 3D particle system. That camera zoom is a big problem.

If this were my project, I probably wouldn’t use a force to fake the zoom — I’d probably add a second emitter with a bigger “zoom” property value and start it where the force kicks in. It would be based on the original emitter, but with the glow and possibly some other parts removed.

Not yet. We’re working on it, and it will be released later this year.

You can’t preserve the audio with a QT movie at this time. You’ll have to use another app to combine the audio from the origial clip with the rendered clip.

    Any suggestions anybody?
