Isn’t this okay though if he just want’s it looking squashed, or are there other implications downstream?

Hmmmm, perhaps it’s a NTSC PAL thing?? I’m pal.

    Settings:

    Output directory: valid
    File name: 000,001,00,… unchanged
Start Time: 01:00:42:18 (I had to change this as the script identified it as 00:00:42:18)
Stop Time: 01:00:43:12 (had to do the same here)
Step Time: 00:00:00:01 (Tried other values here too)

    Tried jpeg and pngs

All I ever get is the ‘step time must be greater than zero’ whinge.

    Best wishes

    Thanks for the interest Edward,

I make the required time selection on the TL, usually just a few frames) run the script, the in and out script points correspond to the selection okay, but whatever I set the frame interval for (- think that’s what it’s called but I’m not by my Vegas machine at present, when I run the script it fails saying something like the frame interval should be greater than zero.

I’ve been into the script but it’s beyond me. I did try remming out the relevant comparison line but that just crashed vegas.

It’s the standard script that shippped with vegas7.

Easy as that!! Thanks George, I’d actually managed to do it by ‘ripple’ inserting, with all the options.

BTW have you tried exporting a series of frames using the supplied tools\scripting\render image sequence? I can’t get the thing to run and I’d like to export a short sequence of pngs from the timeline.

I think this is a weakness in DVDSP. I know of other authoring packages that biuld a ‘frame index’ and therefore allow chapter markers on any frame in the mpeg.

    Thanks Chris,

Can’t seem to get anywhere just upgrading the dongle unfortunately as that would do me.

Thanks Chris, is your TM 4.2 dongled? If I could work my way round the PP dongle I’d be happy staying with 4.1
