  • Hi Joe, are you trying to export directly out of Premiere Pro? I have gotten the same error message before, particularly with large projects. I queued the project in Media Encoder and exported it that way and it’s worked every time that happens.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the helpful tip, Walter.
I hadn’t thought of putting tape behind the glasses before. I had another shoot Friday and raising the lights helped tremendously.

    Joe,
Thanks so much for your advice.
I hadn’t thought about using my arms as a way to direct my lights. I can dim my fill light by turning it around so less light bounces on the subject. That will probably help add some “modeling” to my subjects.

As far as my green screen, it’s a cotton sheet. it’s very helpful to hear you say that it looks good. I tried several different light styles before saying “Hell with it, as long as it keys cleanly I don’t care!” 🙂

I’ll take your advice about the Downey wrinkle remover. My green screen is in an old operating room at the hospital I work at so making it smell less sterile is a good thing!

December 16, 2014 at 3:02 pm in reply to: Mass Replace

    Walter,
Thanks again for your help, pardoner. I ended up just replacing each layer with an OPT+DRAG. It didn’t take long at all.

I need to work on my animation skills and any help I can get is appreciated. I tried to animate falling snowflakes at the end of the piece and I feel that they look more like ninja stars and falling rocks than snowflakes.

Tell me what you think. https://vimeo.com/114668792

    Thanks again!

    Hi Guys,

This is what I thought as well and explained to the client… but not quite as eloquently as Jon did.

[Jon Doughtie] “you are being asked to remove an egg from a cake that has already been mixed and baked.”

I explained it more like a jpeg vs a psd layered file, but they got the point.

    Thanks for your help!

  • [Stephen Smith] ” If you want the background to always be the same and just have the green screen clip come on and off I would recommend you check out the Ultra Keyer in PPro. It is actually really good.”

Stephen, I didn’t know about the Ultra Keyer. It is pretty good. I don’t think it’s quite as good as Keylight in AE, but it definitely will make my workflow easier.

    Thanks!

  • [Todd Kopriva] “The last table on this page gives details about what is transferred when bringing material from Premiere Pro to After Effects, whether through copying and pasting or through Dynamic Link:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/importing-effects-premiere-pro.h...

Todd, Thanks so much. That info really helps out.

February 11, 2014 at 4:09 pm in reply to: Removing bald spot shine

[Erik Lindahl] “I beilive the “Beauty Box” filter combats skin shine quite well / naturally. We’ve used it for numerous shots for so called “post makeup” where it works brilliantly “

    Thanks, Erik.

I’ll give that a try. I also want to try using a Track Matte in PPro to see if I can put a dim on just the bright spot. Ever had any luck with something like that?
