Hey Steven,

My suggestion is to the hosanna text a Emitter rather than a Replicator.
Then you could send all the “particles” backwards and use scale over life.
For random color just use the color range from emitter controls

Ok John,

Hang on there i’m going to go in there an look around and see what you talking about.

Oh ok I see what you mean. It does the same with other text effets. It’s prolly because Motion can’t do it.

You could try duplicating the layer, making it black, and making it bigger and stuff to mimic a shadow. If you would want to try that I would be glad to help you out if you want!

But I’m not sure that that is possible. But keep trying.
You might try calling Apple.

Wow Steve!

Quite a problem you have!

I know exactly what you need to do!

What you would have to do is believe it or not, make an emitter!

Reply if you need any help with the emitter.

What exactly do you mean by bolder: bigger fatter text?

There is always the option of using the bezier tool and drawing!

First things first your project needs to be 3D.

If so. . .

Make sure that “Shadows” under the light’s settings is on. And, since you have it on spot, make sure that your text does not go out of the light beam.

Also make sure that under the text options that Cast Shadows and is on.

I already knew about AE but I’m still don’t know what to do in Motion. I’m not familier with the color correction filters so. . .

Jay Burgess you seam to have a problem.

I’ve been you spot before too. Since casting shadows it soo hard it very hard for you computer to do. My best suggestion is to break up you video into little nuggets. Then you can add shadows, and export a small piece at a time. I’m sorry, it’s just the life a complicated video rendering!
