What happend to Displace?
In Motion 4 there was a filter called displace and you could use it to make flags wave. How can I do it with Motion 5??? There is no displace. There is a displacement distortion but it doesn’t have as many controls of displace in the days of yore.

I started with Motion 5, so I was not familiar with the (now missing) Displace Filter from earlier versions of Motion. However, in trying to find a solution to make a newspaper page wave, I discovered this possible remedy:
Use Motion 5 to open a Motion project created in an earlier version that used the Displace Filter. Then, open the Motion 5 Library and drag the filter from the Layers panel to the Content Category of Motion 5. Then Save and the Displace Filter will be in Motion 5 “Content” when you open it in the future.
I have not tried it yet, but with my initial noodling it looks like it will work. Also: It looks very much like the Bump Filter solution suggested by Peter Wikoff (back in 2012).
