<p>There are a bunch of workarounds though:<br />1) Convert your files to h264. Free tool that I like to use is <a target='_blank' href="https://handbrake.fr/" rel="nofollow">Handbrake</a>. Free and has plenty of tutorials online.<br />2) Upgrade Vegas Pro to the most recent version which would work better with h265. Can&hellip;</p>

MAGIX is the company that owns &amp; develops Vegas Pro since 2016 (before it was Sony developing it).</p>
<p>However, MAGIX does also have their own self-titled video editing software: MAGIX Movie Studio and MAGIX Video Pro. Those are completely separate&hellip;</p>

That&#8217;s for presets, this is a plugin. Bit of a misleading title there.<br />With this one you simply launch the .exe file and it should automatically install to the correct location. If you changed the default destination folder &#8211; that might&#8217;ve caused the issue.</p>

I recommend checking out a video tutorial for it, it&#8217;s not&hellip;</p>

<p>I believe this is down to the shutter speed setting on your camera.  If the settings are the same then it could be that something changed about the lighting on location and  that&#8217;s what caused this. As mentioned previously &#8211; you can test with the free trial.</p>

Compared to the more common H.264 it&#8217;s more efficient in space, compression, quality, but requires more processing power.</p>

<p>My guess is that&#8217;s where the problem lies. You can try going into Options -&gt; Preferences -&gt; File I/O and enable MVK reader if that&#8217;s the format, but this is just a guess.</p>
<p>If it&#8217;s not the MKV setting &#8211; you&#8217;ll likely have to convert these clips before using in Vegas. Maybe check if you can change the recording&hellip;</p>

I&#8217;m going with MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4 because it&#8217;s the more modern one of the two and you can get faster render times by setting the Encode mode to NV Encoder if your GPU supports it.</p>
<p>However, I have read that Mainconcept AVC has higher quality, but it&#8217;s also slower. Haven&#8217;t personally tested it, but I wouldn&#8217;t&hellip;</p>

<p>Could be improved with extra masking, but would be hard to get the timings and spacing right for all the corners to transform smoothly (where a vertical dash &#8220;transforms&#8221; into a horizontal one).</p>

<p>In this case I&#8217;d say you have to go with an alternative approach. Assuming you need to increase sharpen by the same amount or maybe two or three different amounts you can use Track FX. If you haven&#8217;t used Track FX before &#8211; basically this allows you to&hellip;</p>

Vegas Pro isn&#8217;t really built for such motion graphics, would be very hard to recreate this specific asset.</p>
<p>I suggest you search for something like &#8220;motion graphics border frame video asset&#8221;. Though I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s unlikely you&#8217;ll find something just like this as this&hellip;</p>

<p>They had a demonstration within Filmora and it showed manual assembly of the whole scene, layer by layer, letter by letter. While in After Effects you could just edit&hellip;</p>

<p>After the &#8220;Selectively Paste Event Attributes&#8221; window opens, you can select which attributes you want pasted. To be even more selective you need to click on the 3 dots on the left, which I&#8217;ve circled in the attached image. One thing to look out for is that &#8220;Delete&hellip;</p>

Project Properties -&gt; Resample mode, select Disable resample. Or alternatively, you could disable it only for the one clip. Right click on the clip -&gt; Switches -&gt; Disable Resample.</p>
<p>If that didn&#8217;t help then maybe try changing Field order in project/render settings &#8211; set it to None&hellip;</p>

I believe you used the .dll files from the &#8220;Sony&#8221; folder, but you should&#8217;ve gone with the &#8220;Magix&#8221; folder contents. Vegas Pro changed ownership to Magix with version 14 and that Sony folder is reserved for older versions.</p>
<p>As for the measures &amp; beats &#8211; couldn&#8217;t find any&hellip;</p>

<p>But to add a few miliseconds to the start of the clip &#8211; it only now occurred to me you could actually use the &#8220;Trim+Captured+Clips+v1.0&#8221; script I attached previously for slipping footage too. So you have to edit the script file and change the value for&hellip;</p>

So if you hold Alt and click and drag a clip to the right in your case &#8211; that would move the footage forward, but maintain the same position in timeline. Then the original beginning would be x frames into the clip and the original end would be x frames out of the clip, so cut off.</p>

<p>Luckily I did manage to find a couple of scripts just for this task. I&#8217;ve attached two that I tested and updated to work in latest versions (not taking any credit for these &#8211; I just edited 1 line).</p>
