Do you have the trapcode particular license? Is it demo mode?

Particular should respond to the camera even with no 3D layers on the comp. So maybe it´s the license.

I tested it here and it worked. I mean the camera orbited.

    All the best.

    Hi!

I don´t know about motion blur not affecting rotation but you might try to apply CC Force Motion Blur to fake it.

    Hope it helps.

  • You might try to look for the preset 3D Rotate around Circle.

I´m on CS3 by the way.

I´ve done this before. It works. I hope it is what you need.

  • I´m not sure I understood what you want to do but why not use a solid with a mask?

Then you can lower the opacity of the solid (for example) and use a subtract mask where you want the visibility to 100%.

Then you can move it and keyframe the mask position and the layer´s transparency whenever you need.

    Am I completly wrong here?

    If I am I appologise.

    Cheers.

Try turning off the openGL. (on the composition window and on the render queue as well) AE does not seem to get along well with it. (lots of posts in the forum about the reason)

If I got what you said I´ve had the same problem in the past.

I just cannot remember if my RAM previews where also ugly. But definitely my renders looked awfull. Specially when I worled with 3D and lots of effects and layers.

    Good luck.

    Cheers.
