[edr] “Does anyone know where I can find a tut on how to make realistic champagne bubbles for Cinema 4d 9.6 Studio?”
I’ll go you one better than that: here’s a file I did for someone a few months back: https://www.3danvil.com/temp/CHAMPAGNE-Particles_noglass.zip

The glass was provided to me so I can’t share it, but I think you’ll figure out where was. 🙂

I would select the bottle polys where the label should go, run the split command, then select all the polys in the resulting object and do a very small “move normal” (just enough to avoid coplanar polys). Then do an extrude with the caps option selected.

  • No, you can export cameras and nulls with 3D data (position/rotation), but you can’t export actual geometry.

You can achieve uniform speed by setting your path spline’s intermediate points to … uniform. If it’s still a bumpy ride you might want to use a b-spline instead of a bezier. The shape will change, though, so you’ll have to do some adjusting.

You can convert the spline to a motion path with the timeline command (spline to position path), but the camera rotation will be lost so that’s probably not an option. You can also bake the animation but it will be very hard to edit after that.

[Simon Carlson-Thies] “The easiest way is if you have grouped them in a null object select the null right click and say select children deselect the null, grab the scale tool and have fun…”

The easiest way is to scale the null–no need to select the children.

No, it shouldn’t work like that. There must be something going on in the 3d shaders–like specular level is set waaaay high.

Unfortunately I don’t know any way to keep the same ease if you record a new KF.

Sounds like you’d be better off assigning the object a time curve and doing the ease there rather than doing it on the position track.

[Brian Jones] “[CaptainMench] “Also — another point to the manual… rendering out multiple passes… is there a way to render out specific elements into different files or channels? I need to composite each item on it’s own.”

Render Settings/Multi-Pass – add whatever channels you want, render to you favorite format.”

More specifically, you have to give your objects compositing tags and specify an object buffer channel in the tag. Then in multipass you have to add an object buffer pass for each object, indicating the number(s) you assigned in the compositing tag. This will give you a separate alpha for the object which you can use to composite it out in post.
