So you want an extruded logo wrapped around a sphere? In that case I’d use the extrude nurbs, check “regular grid” in the caps options and set a low number for it (lots of subdivision), and then use a Wrap deformer on the extruded text.

Look in the Extrude object’s Caps tab: fillet with rounding.

I’m guessing you probably need to use more spheres. Jeremy may have also used the same noise (clipped) in the bump channel to give an appearance of thickness.

AFAIK there’s no way to turn off hotkeys. If you’re using an old preferences you might want to delete the hotkeys file from the prefs folder, which should restore the defaults.

Add a spotlight to your scene and check the volumetric box in the light’s “general” tab.

Also, you can get Michael Welter’s free SplineConnector plugin if you want to use multiple splines in a sweep object: https://www.welter-4d.de/fplugs/freeplugins_en.html

Hm, I don’t know about that. You might want to study the GI controls a little more.

Probably not, but I’m not sure.

Yes, go to Objects>Object Library>Polygon Emitter. This is a preset for Thnking Particles that causes any object to emit particles.

It’ll work with scene or vector motion blur, but not object motion blur. Or rather, the latter just doesn’t work with particles, not metaballs specifically.

    or combustion? Thanks

Yeah, sure. Just add a compositing tag with an object buffer to your particle object(s), then add the buffers to your multipass file.

Can you explain what you mean when you say you came close? What did you try?
