    You have to enter a file name/location in Render Settings>Save>Path.

    What you’re looking for is the curiously named “render to picture viewer”.

    I don’t believe it’s possible. Dynamics predated TP and it hasn’t been updated in eons.

    If you have MoGraph the Spline Wrap object will do just what you want.

    It’s certainly possible — your object just have to have enough subdivisions/polygons to allow it to deform smoothly.

  • You can use the MoGraph Sample Effector node to drive the morph.

    * create xpresso tag;

    * drag the sound effector and morph tag into the editor;

    * create a MoGraph sample effector node;

    * connect the sound effector’s Object out port to the sample effector’s “effector” (in) port;

    * connect the sample effector’s Strength (out) port to the morph tag’s [morph target] input (where [morph target] is the name of the morph you created).

    It should work better if you also check “fade if near border” and “fade if approaching object”. If that doesn’t do it you could try replacing the light with an object that has a glow material on it. If neither of those do it you might have to render without any fading and then do it in post with the object buffer from the occluding object(s).

    I hope Dante hasn’t been waiting two years for that answer. 🙂

    December 18, 2008 at 6:11 pm in reply to: making an object lead an animated sweep nurb?

    The easiest way to do this, IMO:

    1) give your text object an “align to spline” tag and use the path spline from your sweep;

    2) animate the sweep end growth as normal;

    3) right click on the words “end growth” in the attributes manager and from the context menu, select Animation>Set Driver;

    4) now select the align to spline tag you created above, right click on the word, “position”, and from the context menu select Animation>Set Driven (absolute).

    This sets up an xpresso for you that will drive the align to spline tag’s position with the sweep’s growth.

    Click/hold the icon all the way on the bottom-right of the time slider (next to the sound icon) and select “default interpolation”. That should do it.
