Click on the splines and change their intermediate points from adaptive to uniform.

Set the tag to frontal, then right-click and select “generate UVW coordinates”.

Are you open to remote (like the other side of the country) freelancers, or are you looking for someone strictly local?

The preset is using non-square pixels which is correct if the file is going to be played back on TV. It will looked squashed when you render it, but it will stretch to normal proportions when played back.

If you want you can change it to square pixels under Render Settings>Ouput>Pixel Aspect.

I can think of a couple things it might be. In the Viewport>Config>View options there’s a checkbox called “active axis stems”. If that’s unchecked the arrows will only tint (and be draggable) if you roll over the heads of the arrows — not the shafts.

There’s also the F12 hotkey which temporarily disables the axes. Maybe your F12 key got stuck?

Otherwise … might be time to trash your preferences.

Assuming you’re in the U.S., I would suggest that you contact Maxon U.S.A.

That option only applies when you are in points, polys, or edge mode.

Unfortunately it’s going to be quite difficult to get an undistorted texture on your object. You would need to make the loft editable and then go into UV editing mode and use the magnet tool undistort the mesh by hand.

    Here’s a thought (meaning I haven’t actually tried it :-)):

Use a sweepNURBS instead of a cylinder and apply the wind deformers to the path spline. Now, you can’t use an align-to-spline tag to follow the deformed spline, unfortunately, because the tag doesn’t recognize the deformation. But there’s a trick you can use (thanks base80!) if you have MoGraph:

Clone a bunch of nulls along the spline, use a Tracer Object to draw a spline between the clones, and then use the align-to-spline tag on your light(s) referencing the Tracer object.
