Usually when this happens it’s because the cloth is penetrating either itself or another object at the start of the animation.

You can put different materials on different components and those materials can use different multishaders or mograph color shaders.

You can use a Time Track in the timeline for this. Create the time track, make the f-curve you want for the animation, and then apply the time track to all of your objects.

There shouldn’t be extra keys created. On the animation path you should see big dots for the keyframes and small dots for the interpolated keys. You can only manipulate the actual keys.

I wouldn’t use the align to spline tag at all. Instead, use the start/end and offset parameters in the Cloner object to move the lights along the spline.

  • That’s what I would do, too. Or you can have the same effect with a constraint tag. Final option would be to make sure the parts you don’t want distorted are 100% weighted to a single joint (in this case the head bone).

The funky geometry of the bevels is messing up the phong shading, as you deduced. You can improve the result by selecting the edge loops on either side of the bevel and runng the “break phong shading” command.

I’m not sure I understand the problem. If you want to resize the object use the scale tool in Model Mode. Or if you want to do it precisely for a whole scene, use the Edit>Scale Project function.

As to the first question, you can move a dynamic object if the tag’s “enabled” parameter is keyframed off, or if your timeline is at frame 0. Otherwise you can’t.

I don’t know why your bins started falling through the floor, unless the floor’s dynamics tag was keyframed off. Everything with a dynamics tag should interact with everything else. There are no separate domains in Cinema.

You might need to go to Edit>Project Settings>Dynamics>Advanced and increase “steps per frame” to prevent objects from falling through the floor or missing other objects. Some of the other issues might be fixed by increasing “interations per step” and/or by reducing the error threshold.

  • Not sure why they changed but you can change each one manually in the viewport’s Camera menu.
