  • Hi Michael,

Yes I’ve tried that before, but then when I apply a Compressor, it seems to have no affect now. It used to work fine prior to 10.0.6 with the method you described. However, it seems the Compressor only works when I set the Pan Mode on the component side of the audio, rather than to the clip itself.

Well, I got it fixed. Sure enough, after deleting the preference file, it fixed it. Weird little issue though. Glad it’s fixed. Thanks for the replies/help!

Just map it as a keyboard shortcut. I have it as Cmd+Shift O. It’s quick and works great.

It’s saying I have two clips missing, however, they don’t show up in the event library and when I go to reconnect them, it says that it doesn’t match the original file, etc… I’m pretty sure something just went haywire with the event database.

I’ve fixed it by creating a new event and copying the clips from the bad event to the new event and it seems to have solved the issue. Although I still find it very strange that the exported XML was 0 KB and a blank file. Just one of those weird things I guess. Thanks for everyone’s help!

You can trash the transcoded files. As long as you have the originals of the same file(s), FCPX will automatically revert back to the originals when the transcoded files are deleted.

I’m sorry, my mistake. You are right. I jumped the gun on that one. It’s just AAF for Pro Tools and not for Logic. I’m guessing Apple will address this with the upcoming updates to FCPX and Logic X. Maybe in June…?

This app will do what you are looking for, X2Pro. It’s $99 in the App Store.

Create a new temporary event. Drag all the clips from your keyword collection to the new event. Then just open up the folder of the new event in Finder and only the clips in the new event (the clips your client wants) will be the only ones showing up in that new event folder. Hope that makes sense…

There are definite speed improvements from this new version. Large projects are MUCH snappier and more responsive. Overall, the whole app is a lot more responsive. I’m not sure why yours is slower. What machine are you running it from? Maybe upgrade to Lion?
